When the query is configured with an offset, fetchEntities scrolls to the last row to skip with a next() followed by a relative(offset - 1), ignoring what next() answers. On an empty result set, next() returns false and leaves the cursor after the last row, whereas ResultSet#relative() requires by contract the cursor to be on a row. jTDS handled that position silently, but the Microsoft driver that now replaces it enforces the contract (SQLServerResultSet#verifyResultSetHasCurrentRow) and throws. The PostgreSQL driver doesn't check it either, which is why the failure shows up only on SQL Server and never in the integration tests. The readers already met are both remembered to discard their next accesses and passed to the next query as the users to exclude from it. The Pagination helper increments the page number at each turn, which is correct only when the queried data doesn't change. Here the exclusion of the readers already met removes their accesses from the next result set, so the rows that were beyond the 200th one move to its head and the offset of 200 skips accesses that have never been examined. On a publication read many times by few readers, the second query returns then either nothing - the panel of the last visitors reports only the readers found by the first one - or accesses much older than the ones it has just skipped. The readers are now asked directly to the datasource, which groups the accesses by reader (StatisticService#getHistoryByUser), so the only users to exclude are the ones given by the caller: the criteria no longer change between two queries and the pagination becomes valid again. There is nothing left to deduplicate, and a single query is enough to answer in practice. The name of the driver being hardcoded in the installer to identify its jar among the delivered bundles, it is updated both in the extraction of the software bundles and in the deployment of the driver into Wildfly. The URL of the connections to SQL Server is rewritten accordingly: the database is now designated by the databaseName parameter and no more by the path of the URL. Because the Microsoft driver expects an encrypted connection since its version 10 whereas jTDS never encrypted anything, the encryption has to be explicitly set, otherwise any installation whose SQL Server has no trusted certificate would stop working. Instead of hardcoding it, two settings are introduced: * DB_ENCRYPT requires the connections to the database to be encrypted. It is supported for MSSQL, POSTGRESQL and, in server mode only, H2. It isn't supported for ORACLE in which the encryption is configured by the Oracle Net settings of the client and not by the connection URL. When it is false, nothing is required from the server but SQL Server, for the reason above; in particular PostgreSQL keeps its own default, in which an encrypted connection is tried first and a plain one is used if the server doesn't support the encryption. Disabling it explicitly would be a regression for the installations that are silently encrypted today. * DB_ENCRYPT_TRUST_SERVER_CERT accepts the certificate of the server without validating it, for the installations willing to encrypt their connections without any PKI. The traffic is then protected from eavesdropping but the identity of the server isn't checked. As soon as it contains a semicolon, which is the separator of the parameters in the connection URLs of the Microsoft JDBC driver for SQL Server, the shell splits the command: the URL is truncated and the remaining arguments are executed as another command.
